Tips for Eating Out: Chinese

The best bets:  chicken and vegetables, moo go gi pan, beef and broccoli

The worst:  fried meats, fried rice, egg rolls, sweet and sour chicken

Tips:  Chinese is sometimes hard to tolerate for many patients due to the oils and way it is cooked.  You may want to avoid these foods until you are farther post-op.

I also eat Kung Bao Chicken ( also shrimp, beef or pork) which consists of chicken, lots of cabbage, I think waterchestnut and peanuts in a slightly spicy brown sauce. Very filling and tasty. I love eating hot and sour soup which contains tofu, mushrooms, chicken, sprouts and other veggies I can't name in a spicy brown broth. Don't know the nutrition count, but very tasty and filling as well on a chilly evening or anytime!
